Working with long time clients to build a local bike shop website was a fantastic smaller project. They wanted to showcase not only the brands they carried but the custom build of bikes that they do.

Over the following months we added more bespoke things such as events and bookings to allow them to expand as they grew.

Projects like this are a perfect mix. I get the opportunity to work with a business and industry that I am passionate about while helping someone take their business a big step forward.

Katy had been running a successful coaching business for 10 years along side of her professional riding, but never dedicated any time to her website. This was the year. M.art design did an amazing job working with Katy to develop a brand/logo design she loved and I made sure it all came together. She can now schedule courses, take bookings and payments online.

Sometimes projects take time.. A thriving business like Ski Goddess can find it hard to stop and change things when they are doing just fine as they are.

I started working with Katie almost 3 years ago and I see a long future ahead of us. Her bespoke ski holidays for women has a perfect market niche and rebuilding her website was only the first step of taking her business to a new level. We have also spent many hours on making her booking process more efficient for her and her Goddesses.  The next step is creating a ski course online.. watch this space.

Pedalabikeaway, in the Forest of Dean, shows just what is possible with WordPress.  Although this site is built on WP and it’s Woocommerce Booking Plugin, the functionality is 100% bespoke.

Working closely with PBA, a booking system was created for a range of bikes that they offer on 1/2 day or daily basis.  We flipped things on their head and gave control to the user by allowing them to select dates first to show availability, something the bookings plugin could not do.

We also made it possible to book bikes of the same type but with different sizes without re-entering details.  Something that saves the user a good chunk of time.

Along with many other bespoke reporting aspects, and site functionality, we re-created PBA’s current booking form ‘on the fly’.  Now they simply print these off ready for the bike hire shop to check in/out bikes for the day.

Projects like this are why I love my job.

I love working with the mountain bike world. There is a huge passion for what everyone does. Jake and Sprung Suspension was no exception.

Jake had grown his business over the past 5 years and had hit a wall with his website. He needed an easier and better way to update content, sell products, and book services. We took what was already there and upgraded it with a fresh clean look from M:art design.

A new booking system connected to payments and automated job sheet creation is helping take many headaches away. We are working closely going forward to make sure any other improvements we can make are.

We also like to build long term relationships with our clients, and projects that are bespoke like this usually result in a monthly support service to insure upgrades, security, and general help are always at hand.

I’ve been wanting to take my business in new directions this past year and Polly and Mountain Yoga Breaks gave me the perfect opportunity.  MYB has built up a fantastic following, with great feedback, and super events.  Polly was ready to take things to the next level.  Helping her bring together a new website was only a small part of the project.  We spent a lot of time understanding who Polly was, what she wanted her business to be, and the best way to share that with her current and future clients online.

We worked on everything from writing better content, to understanding the best way to set up mailing lists and engaging with her customers.  I’ve loved every minute of work we’ve done together, and I look forward to the work we may do in the future.

Wye MTB was ready to take their business to the next level.  Working on a pressured 4 week deadline I think  Mart and I delivered.

Wye MTB offers courses and coaching in the Wye Valley and further afield in Wales.  Showcasing our beautiful countryside while riding your bike.  I wanted to make sure that their new site allowed them to easily update what they offer and keep their class lists up to date and emailed on the day.

Creating a website that made current residents proud of where they lived and encouraged new ones to enquire, is what m:art design and I managed to achieve.

This was a great example of our work, showcasing M:art’s design abilities and my skills in converting ideas into something beautiful to look at and easy to use and update. It’s always satisfying to complete a project like this where everyone is happy.

Supporting a friend and her charity

Sometimes helping out a friend is more satisfying then any big complex project. Clare was desperate to modernise her website. Her goal was to be able to post regular news and allow pdfs to be attached to them. Wamba Community Trust is now fresh and super easy to update. This allows Clare to dedicate her time to helping Wamba’s community.

A website was needed that was as beautiful as the cottage.

Working with m:art design to help his client create a beautiful site, was a great experience.  The client was easy to work with and the resulting look of the site really reflected their seaside location.

Allowing Tranquillity Beauty to showcase their treatments was the biggest goal with their new site.    They wanted something very appealing to the eye and an easy way for clients to see what they have to offer.

Everything was created with this in mind, along with making it very easy to update and change things as their services evolve.  Great to partner with martdesign.net yet again.

One of our biggest projects to date.

Chilli Penugin’s success has been building over the past 10 years and they had finally reached a point that they needed their website to catch up.

There were 2 main goals with the website, create a beautiful engaging, showstopper of a website and create a dealer only ordering area to make life easier.

M:art Design, created a stunning visual concept that is amazing to look at and engages visitors from the first moment they arrive.

Do It Simply insured the functionality and ease of use were top notch.  A very large amount of time was taken to discuss and understand Chilli’s current production and sales process.  With this information I built a system that made it easy to order for their dealers and kept the process checked and verified by Chilli.  I can’t wait to work with them again.

Trying to stand out from the crowd shouldn’t make your website hard to use.  When it’s done right you get something beautiful that works.  Animation and simplicity can go hand and hand.

Parker SW didn’t want to look like every other builder.  They create sympathetic period property and new build renovations.  This means an they have an eye for detail and are someone you can trust.  The website needed to convey this.

Using a copywriter and taking time to talk to their customers has helped to create a website that not only does this, but is  also one of a kind.

This is what can be achieved when you combine a great design with technical know-how.  The project resulted in a fantastic booking system for 3 holiday lets.  Parc Wernol needed to offer a mixture of 3 and 7 day bookings with pricing varying by season.  It was also important that if they wanted to run special discount for a week or even days, they could do it.  Each property has it’s own pricing, days available, and calendar.

Like many family run businesses everything that Parc Wernol did was by hand.  From taking phone calls for questions and payment, to physically writing into a diary who had paid and who was visiting.  Not only did this add confusion but it took up a lot of their time that could have been spent working on other parts of their business.

With a beautiful design by m:art and the creation of it by do it simply Parc Wernol have a site that not only attracts more customers but makes their life easier keeping track of who/when and payments.

It’s always a pleasure to help m:art bring one of his designs to life.  The Vaynol Pub in Abersoch was a great project from start to finish.

With beautiful pictures provided by Euron, and a simple to use CMS created by me; The Vaynol walked away very happy.

The partnership that m:art design and I have built is great.  He is the visual expert and I can make just about anything he or the client imagines happening, happen.

Yet when Martin approached me with his left/right scroll idea for Bardsey Boat Trips, I wasn’t jumping for joy.  But I credit Martin completely on having this vision and pushing me to make it possible.  A left to right scrolling website that works on all devices is a pretty tall order, but we did it.  And as Bardsey provides incredibly unique boat trips to an island only accessible by Colin (the owner) the site reflects this and stands out.

Along with this we have a bespoke weather widget written just for Bardsey, tide times, and a beautiful historical timeline.  It was also important being located in North Wales to insure the site was accessible in both languages.

Helping a small business create an impact on the web is one my favourite things to do.

This simple to use website was designed by m:art and brought to life by me.  It is simple to use, and easy to update.

We wanted to make sure that this small self-catering cottage would be seen and make a lasting impression.    I think this was a job well done.

Working closely with Mart Design, we created a beautiful single page site.  A flawless design allows the technical aspect to be built in tight time frame and on budget.

A beautiful site doesn’t need to cost the world or take months to create.

When the owners of Abererch Sands starting getting problems with hacking into their 3 year old site, I stepped in to help.

By moving their old bespoke cms over to WordPress it was given increased security and more flexibility with content.  Both without any added costs.  The website was replicated exactly as it was before, only now on the WP platform.

As I have a close relationship with Martin at m:art design, we tend to build a lot of sites together.

I convinced Martin that building this bespoke design on WP would give greater flexibility going forward, yet maintaining a completely unique look.  No WordPress templates for us.  Martin supplied some stunning PNGs, thoughts about what he wanted to do, and this site was created.

Not everyone wants  complete control of their website, or the responsibility.  For clients like this, sometimes a bespoke CMS is just the answer.  They get to pick and choose the pages they want to change, the CMS is much simpler then using a framework, yet there is still infinite possibility.

Using PHP and MySQL the sales and area pages were created to allow updates and additions at any time.  The rest of the site is built around a creative use of HTML5, CSS3, and jQuery.

This was another unique design vision by Martin at m.art design.  He really wanting something that was stunning on a larger screen, and this definitely stands out.  He supplied PSDs to me and a outline of his wants for the site, and this was created.
